Various Artists

A collection of silk screened artworks gathered together as a “portfolio” and the last publication in the Le Dernier Cri series; in essence a “best of” Le Dernier Cri.

As with all previous issues, published in an oversized format, loosely gathered together without binding or staples so the sheets could be mounted as prints or posters. These were the first publications of Le Dernier Cri leading to the publication of limited edition artist's books, both silk screen and offset publications which continues today in Marseille. The title of this publication became the name of the publisher which is synonymous with the dark and surreal side of contemporary underground art.

Le Dernier Cri included nine issues published in 1993/94. Offered here is number 10, published in 1995 and is the last in the series and includes contributions by noteworthy international underground artists: Stephane Blanquet, Donato Di Nunno, Mike Diana, Dom Tom, El Chico Solo, Fredox, Jean Kristau, Colas Meulien, Moolinex, Nuvish, Keiichi Ota, Pigassou, Jonathon Rosen, Alexios Tioyas, Henrietta Valium, David Sandlin and others, as well as art by the editors and publishers, Caroline Sury and Pakito Bolino. 88 pages, including a fold-out poster (24 x 31") + the illustrated wrapper (see 2nd photo) all silk screened. Rare!

Le Dernier Cri, Marseilles, France, 1995; 12 x 15.5" portfolio loosely laid-in to wrapper/cover in very good condition: wrapper shows slight wear + a few small creases at the edges of the wrapper's folded flaps, all pages very good.
